Peter Parker has achieved the things he longed for, his interest for his long-time love, Mary Jane Watson, and his responsibilities as Spiderman. The things got better until Peter was told by the police about the history of his Uncle Ben's murder. Flint Marco, a prisoner who escaped, hides out on a beach, but he was caught in an accident that displaces molecules that turned him into a supervillain named Sandman. By that time, Spiderman battles Sandman and his bestfriend, Harry Osborne, who turned into a new Goblin.

By that time, John Jameson, an astronaut, brought an "alien life force" back to earth. Because of that, it crawled through Peter Parker, Spiderman's color became all Black, including his behavior. Because of that, when Peter began to abandon all of his loved ones, including MJ, Spiderman has began fighting the symbiote within him, until he removed the symbiote from his body. After the symbiote separated from Spiderman, the symbiote chooses Eddie Brock Jr., Peter's rival photographer, and turned him into Venom.
